This page allows you to generate the elements of the classic Factorial number, as a series. You may choose between a numbered list, or an unformatted sequence of results. Both will have exactly the same entries. Please note that somewhere around 40! or 50!, the numbers displayed will get too long to display on a single line. The 'numbered list' result style is therefore formatted to allow the lines to wrap; the 'simple list' style displays unformatted numbers that can more easily be used in other software.
As with all 'Geometric Series', the numbers get large surprisingly quickly: 50! has 65 digits, 100! has over 150, and 1000! has over two and a half thousand digits. The time taken to calculate a given factorial increases in a similar manner: on a test machine, 100! took less than 10 seconds, while 1000! took nearly 45 minutes.
