This page contains an alphabetical listing of specific laws of science, nature and the like, that have been named after famous people (usually but not always Scientists closely involved in discovering that law), that are used on this site.

• Caesar's Cypher Named after Roman Emporer Julius Caesar (circa 100 bce to 44 bce)

• Lucas Series Generator Named after the mathematician who gave the Fibonacci Series its name.
• Newton's Second Law Named after one of the most famous physicists of all time (1642  1726/27)
• Ohm's Law (Voltage, Current, Resistance) Named after Bavarian Scientist Georg Simon Ohm (1789 - 1854)
• Pythagoras' theorem Pythagoras was a Greek philosopher now mainly known for developments in mathematics, though the theorem now known as Pythagoras's was known to the Babylonians 1000 years earlier. (c.570BC - c.490BC)
• Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857 - 1935) studied the theory of motion of rocket apparatus, and established what he originally called the "formula of aviation"
• Vernam's Cypher Named after Bell Labs engineer Gilbert Sandford Vernam
• Greatest Common Divisor - Makes use of Euclid's algorithm, named after the Ancient Greek mathematican of circa 300 BC.
• The Prime Number Series Generator uses a slightly modified, "sliding window" version of the "incremental sieve" version of the classic "Sieve of Eratosthenes". Eratosthenes was an Ancient Greek mathematician, geographer, poet, astronomer, and music theorist who died in 194 BC.
